| Description: |
As a Nursing Assistant, you provide basic patient care functions under the supervision of registered nurses. Other names for this position are nurse's aide, geriatric aide, hospital attendant and patient care assistant, and all offer you an outstanding Massachusetts health care career.
Instruction in basic patient care, medical terminology, nutrition, patient care procedures, communication skills, basic anatomy, safety and assisting with therapies. Basic nursing skills will be taught through classroom lectures, nursing labs and clinical practice in a long-term care environment in the Worcester area.

Participants will need to provide a copy of High School Diploma, GED or College Placement Test (at level 090 );

The QCC Health Information Form (documentation of physical examination, TB test, chest x-ray and at least the initial Hepatitis B vaccination, within the past year);

Copy of picture identification;

Agreement to CORI/SORI check and full payment (CORI check will be completed before starting clinical);

Strong English communication skills required;

Students must be able to carry 50 lbs., push/pull 25 lbs., climb stairs, stoop and stand for long periods of time.
