In response to the alarming need for qualified nurses there has been an increased demand for RN/LPN refresher training programs. This course will review basic nursing skills including: the nursing process, infection control, medication update, IV therapy, the aging population, communication, and scope of practice.

As a component of the course the RN/LPN will complete an 80-hour clinical practicum in an acute care or acute rehabilitation facility. Experiences will be individually designed by a clinical coordinator and supervised by a nursing faculty member.

Acceptance based on a completed application package received on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Note: Days/times listed below are for the classroom portion of this course.  The clinical portion will occur during the last 3 weeks of the course and will require you to be available 3 days per week from 2pm - 11pm.
